The International Committee on Mental Health in Cystic Fibrosis, sponsored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS), developed recommendations for the prevention,
The CF Mental Health Coordinator will be responsible for services that will include but not be limited to:
- Providing annual screening and follow-up
- Coordinating evidence-based treatment for depression and anxiety
- Developing and maintaining a referral network of community-based mental health practitioners
- Serving as an educator and liaison for mental health care in CF for the CF center, hospital or institution, community practitioners, and payers.
Funding of salary support and travel may be requested for up to $150,000 in direct costs over three years, depending on program size (plus 8 percent for indirect costs).
