More than 300 guests enjoyed an evening of “Mischief at the Museum” to benefit the CF Foundation at the Delaware Valley Chapter’s Breath of Life Celebration in October.  The event was held at the popular children’s Please Touch Museum on the night before Halloween, dubbed “Mischief Night” in Philadelphia, and raised $213,000 for the CF Foundation.

The evening featured dancing, cocktails live and silent auctions and a rousing Bid for a Cure speech, which brought in an amazing $50,000.

Wawa, Inc. President Honored With Breath of Life Award

Wawa, and company president and CEO Howard Stoeckel, lent their support to this year’s Breath of Life Celebration and helped grow the event by 45 percent over last year.

Wawa, Inc. has been a generous supporter of the Delaware Valley Chapter for more than 22 years.  Through their participation in the chapter’s Stair Climb event, they have helped raise more than $1 million to support CF research and care.

For their longstanding support, Wawa and Stoeckel were honored with the 2009 Breath of Life Award.

“Wawa is proud to support a cause as worthy as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission,” said Stoeckel.  “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of Wawa as a symbol of our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we serve and the causes our associates are passionate about.”
