Sales of Tammy Cochran CD Benefit Foundation

August 24, 2007

 Tammy Cochran
Award-winning artist recording Tammy Cochran has another hit on her hands. Her new album, “Where I Am,” offers listeners 12 powerful stories about love, loss and other life struggles, all set to beautiful music. To honor the life of her brothers, Shawn and Alan, who both passed away of cystic fibrosis, her record company Shanachie Entertainment has generously agreed to donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of “Where I Am” to the CF Foundation.

This is not the first time the loss of her brothers has played into Cochran’s music career. In 2001, she wrote “Angels in Waiting,” which paid tribute to Shawn and Alan’s life with CF. The song rose to No. 9 on the Billboard Country Singles Chart and helped increase awareness about cystic fibrosis.

“We are very honored to help the [CF] Foundation,” said Bill Cason, the vice president of media and artist development for Shanachie Entertainment. Because of growing album sales, the record company has already presented a check to the Foundation earlier this month. To purchase her album, view the CF Foundation’s Marketplace or Cochran’s Web site.
