To keep pace with the rapidly expanding opportunities in CF research, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation launched the first phase of the Milestones to a Cure major gifts campaign in 2004. The campaign succeeded in closing the gap between promising drug development opportunities and the funding necessary to pursue them, raising an unprecedented $175 million.

The Milestones to a Cure campaign helped to power some of the most important scientific advances in the history of the Foundation, including the development of groundbreaking potential drugs aimed at treating the underlying cause of the disease.
Quickening the Pace of Progress
Because of Milestones donors, the hope and promise of a control and cure for all people with CF is within reach, yet we still lose precious young lives to cystic fibrosis every day.
To accelerate the vital pace of progress toward a cure, the CF Foundation has identified the need for $75 million in major gifts by the end of 2015 and has extended a second phase of the campaign.
The Milestones II campaign relies on major gifts from individuals, private foundations and corporations. You can participate in this critical initiative by making a major gift of $10,000 or more in a calendar year. Every gift brings us closer to achieving our goal of finding a cure and control for cystic fibrosis.
Join The Milestones Club
The Milestones Club is a special group of friends who support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Milestones major giving campaign through generous commitments of $50,000, $100,000 or $250,000 paid over a three- to five-year period. The Milestones Club exemplifies the spirit of selfless giving, which fuels increased hope among the CF community for the breakthrough science that will, one day, lead to a cure.
