The Squires Family It was a promise Bill Squires made to his son, Sean, "Sean's Pals will be the #1 fundraising team in the country!" Using his own words, Bill was bound and determined to make good on his promise in 2010, make good he did. Having just wrapped up their 2010 Great Strides campaign, Sean's Pals raised $240,000 making them the #1 fundraising team in the country. Sean was diagnosed with CF in 2002 at the age of 5. Since then, parents Jodi & Bill, along with daughters Ashley and Sydney, have worked tirelessly with the Greater New Jersey Chapter to raise funds and awareness through various Chapter events. They began by forming Sean's Pals at the Chapter's Verona Park Great Strides walk site, raising $7,500 their first year. The family's involvement doesn't stop with Great Strides, Jodi and Bill have served as co-chairs for the Chapter's Volunteer Leadership Initiative, Jodi as event chair for Fall Fling and currently Bill serves as event chair of Sports Challenge, held at the field of the New Meadowlands Stadium. Bill's work with the NY Giants served to introduce All-Pro Center Shaun O'Hara to the CF Foundation. Shaun serves as the Chapter's Ambassador of Hope and each year heads up a golf tournament that raises funds for CF Foundation. The Greater NJ Chapter is thrilled to congratulate the entire Squires Family and thank them for their continuing commitment to the CF Foundation and our mission of finding a control and ultimately a cure for CF!
